‘It’s a new dawn, It’s a new day’

Hey guys! I hope you all had a great Christmas, I certainly did. I’m here gearing up for my return to Cardiff tomorrow to work New Year’s Eve and cram in some more work before the deadlines next week.

So as I write this revision for my January exams is well under way, I have two which are equally spaced over the two assessment weeks and so is definitely manageable. I’m also writing my first chapter for my dissertation which is very exciting and coming along nicely.

There’s so many things to look forward to in the year ahead in Cardiff, from the Welsh National Opera’s to the BBC National Orchestra of Wales’ concert series.  WNO’s spring season is extremely exciting with Mozart’s Magic Flute, Humperdink’s Hansel and Gretel and Chorus! starring Lesley Garrett. Some great musical theatre productions are heading in to Cardiff in 2015 as well,  with Top Hat, Dirty Dancing and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time  at the Wales Millennium Centre, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Sound of Music and Saturday Night Fever at the New Theatre. I’m also really excited for Cardiff University Operatic Society’s production of Purcell’s The Fairy Queen next year also.

I can’t believe this will be my final semester in uni, it’s gone so quick but I’m definitely going to be making the most of it. And it’s around this time when I need to think about what will happen after I finish – scary! I actually have my interview to return to camp in America next week, I’m very very nervous about it but will let you know after I have it. In the meantime, best wishes for 2015 and I’ll catch you on the other side!
